APHL ID Lab Con 2027

Abstracts for plenary sessions, roundtable discussions and poster sessions are currently being accepted through October 2, 2026. • All presenters must register for the meeting and assume responsibility for their own transportation and lodging and be in attendance for their presentations.

• There is no limit on the number of abstracts that registrants may submit.

• Submitted abstracts should be applicable to at least one of the following meeting tracks:
  • Biosafety and Biosecurity
  • Diagnostic Microbiology
  • Emerging Technologies
  • Global Health Concerns
  • Infectious Disease Outbreaks and Surveillance
  • One Health
  • Pathogen Genomics (Also Considered for AMD Workshop)

APHL is proud to announce a limited number of travel scholarships to support attendance at three preconference workshops prior to ID Lab Con.

Eligibility: Individuals who are planning to attend ID Lab Con 2027 and are interested in attending one of the preconference workshops are eligible to apply. Individuals submitting an abstract are also eligible to apply.

Travel scholarships will cover the cost of transportation to and from Atlanta, GA, lodging for the duration of ID Lab Con and conference registration.

Application Deadline: November 1, 2026

The conference and room block will both be at the Hyatt Regency Atlanta.

APHL has secured a room block (see rates below); reservations will open in September 2026.

• $269 (+tax) per night group rate (single/double): valid until February 19, 2027 or block is filled
• FY26 federal per diem rate: valid until February 19, 2027 or block is filled

Upon reservation, most hotels will hold one night’s fee as a deposit. This is fully refundable if you cancel before that hotel’s cancellation deadline. Be advised that all the hotels will charge a daily incidental fee that is returned upon departure if it's not used. The full amount is held upon check-in. If you use a debit card, it will charge the amount in full and refund you any unused balance at the end of your stay. If you use a credit card, it will post as a pending charge and only the used portion, if any, will be charged after your check-out.
