Member-developed Resource Center

Covering a wide array of laboratory topics and services practiced in the field, the Member-developed Resource Center (MRC) allows you to access institutional knowledge from across the APHL community—and submit your own resources—to help you lead, strengthen and advance your public health laboratory operations and management.

APHL Database

About the Member-developed Resource Center

The MRC now includes all "member-developed" resources, such as APHL technical publications that our committee members helped author or resources produced by Emerging Leader Program cohorts.

Accessing the MRC

Anyone can explore the MRC, but many materials are restricted to APHL members due to their confidential nature. If you do not have access to a resource, a lock icon will appear on its card. You must be signed into the site to access restricted content. Need help logging in? Email [email protected].

If you just need one-off access to a resource, you can always ask your laboratory's APHL member representative (usually the laboratory director) or member-affiliates to download and send you a copy of the materials.

If you need more general access to member-level content, you can have your member representative send a note to [email protected] requesting an "Employee of Member Laboratory" designation be added to your APHL profile. While there may still be some resources entirely restricted to members, this designation will allow access to a wider range of materials.

Resource Submissions

By contributing resources, you are supporting the collective institutional knowledge of the APHL community!

Accepted:

  • Toolkits, checklists, presentations, guidance documents, quick guides, policies, brochures, flyers and similar resources produced by an APHL member organization.
  • Accessible file formats (e.g., PDF, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc. ) that can be previewed or opened by most users.
  • We can add direct links to external content from the MRC (e.g., for a training video hosted on YouTube or Vimeo). The submission form requires the upload of a document, so please paste the destination URL into an otherwise blank word document, complete the other required fields and submit.

Not accepted:

  • Peer-reviewed publications, government or federal agency documents, copyrighted/protected documents or resources from non-APHL members.
  • No file attachment.

On the MRC Repository page, signed-in APHL members will see a callout above the resources with a button link to submit resources:

Follow the instructions on the form and upload your file. It will be reviewed and, if approved, added to the MRC.
