APHL serves as a central resource in advancing public health data exchange modernization. With the tools and expertise offered through an effective, standards-based technical assistance delivery model, we help partners initiate and execute informatics projects.

Many data exchange efforts leverage the AIMS platform to securely transmit, validate and route data electronically between systems. As a result, critical information becomes more readily accessible and actionable across the public health landscape.

• Project Management: Provide logistical support to steer, coordinate, document and facilitate processes, milestones and timelines. 
• Terminology and Data Standards: Provide expertise to harmonize testing codes and incorporate nationally recognized standards such as LOINC and SNOMED into the LIMS workflow.
