APHL is responsible for hosting this platform and ensuring completeness of the information contained within. Information shared here is meant to facilitate resource sharing between member public health laboratories for emergency preparedness and response testing purposes.
It is the responsibility of those submitting information on laboratory equipment, testing supplies and/or consumables to the “Laboratory Resource Exchange” to ensure that the information is accurate and that the physical items on the “Laboratory Resource Exchange” are maintained in the submitter’s laboratory. It is also the responsibility of the submitter to confirm necessary practices and permits are in place at the receiving laboratory that are required by your institution. This could include documentation such as material transfer agreements (MTA) or memoranda of understanding (MOU) that your institution may require between the two laboratories.
Please note, unless otherwise noted in an exchange agreement between laboratories, it is understood that once the transfer is complete, the receiving laboratory has no obligation to return the exchanged items.
It is the responsibility of those requesting equipment, testing supplies and consumables listed on the “Laboratory Resource Exchange” to contact the submitting laboratory directly and ensure that you have the necessary practices and permits in place for receiving the items as they are required by either your laboratory or the laboratory submitting the items. Please note, unless otherwise noted in an exchange agreement between laboratories, it is understood that once the transfer is complete, the receiving laboratory has no obligation to return the exchanged items.
