2026 APHL Annual Conference: Day 2

The second day of the 2026 APHL Annual Conference in Baltimore, MD was another eventful day! In the morning, APHL welcomed students from Baltimore’s Perry Hall High School and Nottingham Middle School to meet public health laboratory professionals and participate in a hands-on scientific activity with industry partners. Among the many interesting sessions, attendees heard from family members of Henrietta Lacks whose involuntary donation of cancerous cell tissue has become, since her death in 1951, one of the most important medical research tools ever discovered.
