Register Today! GenomeTrakr Annual Meeting 2026, November2-4, 2026 | College Park Maryland

The Association of Public Health Laboratories (APHL), in collaboration with the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA), will convene the 2026 GenomeTrakr Meeting in November.

The meeting will bring together federal partners, public health and university laboratories that contribute to the FDA’s GenomeTrakr network. Meeting participants will receive the latest information from the FDA, the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the US Department of Agriculture Food Safety and Inspection Service on their respective networks and surveillance activities to support foodborne disease surveillance and public health decision-making.

The agenda will include focused sessions on the National Antimicrobial Resistance Monitoring System, new sequencing and analytical methods, updates on the economic return on investment of whole genome sequencing (WGS), Laboratory Flexible Funding Model activities and other topics relevant to the GenomeTrakr community. Participants will also learn how states and federal partners are using WGS data to support foodborne disease surveillance and public health decision-making.

2026 GenomeTrakr Agenda

FDA and APHL are also convening several training opportunities during the week of the GenomeTrakr meeting. There is no registration fee for these training events, but advanced registration is required. Applications for the training events will be emailed separately. APHL will provide shuttle service from the Hotel at UMD to the training events, held at the FDA campus in College Park, MD. Due to the training location, all trainees must be US citizens.

Please note: FDA has final say on the training attendee list. You will be notified if you have been accepted into a particular training event by NLT September 1.
