About the Association of Public Health Laboratories
APHL works to strengthen laboratory systems in the United States and globally. We support our member laboratories and partners with services, information and advocacy to ensure an effective and robust public health laboratory system that keeps our communities safe.
The largest group of APHL members are US-based local, state and territorial government laboratories focused on protecting the public health. Collectively referred to as public health laboratories, they include institutions performing human, environmental, animal and food testing to monitor and detect health threats.
