New Intern Tasks
-
Orientation
Orientation is housed in APHL’s Learning Center. Interns are granted access on their first official day in the program, regardless of whether it is their first day physically in the laboratory.
-
Plan of Action
Complete your Plan of Action form with your mentor within 30 days of starting your internship. This plan of action will be reviewed at the APHL Meet 'n' Greet alongside members of the Internships Team.
-
Payroll
Interns receive enrollment emails from our payroll system, ADP, within three business days of their start date. Payroll needs to be completed by the stated deadline to avoid receiving your stipend late.
-
ColLABorate
On your first day, the Internships team will make a welcome post to the ColLABorate group. Please introduce yourselves in the comments of the ColLABorate post.

We are eager for photos and videos representing your Career Pathways experience! We are asking for photos and/or videos of Public Health Laboratory and Genomic Data Intern participants as well as mentors on the job. Photos can feature interns working hard in the laboratory or outside enjoying the company of colleagues. APHL will use some of the pictures for promotional materials and social media. Any photos that represent your experience are welcome! Contact us at [email protected] if you're interested.
